Truckee River Rafting || South Lake Tahoe || Things to do during Summer

lifestyle No Comments »

Back from a very long hiatus. This video was actually 2 months ago, one of the few last trips we had with my very good friend Maria before she left.
We decided to take a trip up to Lake Tahoe for some fun experience like this and oh boy it did not disappoint. There is more to Lake Tahoe than hiking and swimming. Head up to Truckee for some fun river rafting. You basically have the river all day to yourself with the ticket you purchase, you can stop to swim or just take your time and enjoy the view while you are being carried along the river till you reach the very end. The river is 5 mile long, the water is cold but tolerable.
Don’t forget to bring some sunscreen and snacks with you!

A 4-hour rafting trip down the Truckee River. Three of us traveled to Carson City, Nevada for a week and did all types of activities in the area. One of the highlights of the trip was a white-water rafting trip down the Truckee River.
.
Randy’s nephew was our river guide for the trip and he was a seasoned pro! We went through Class 2 rapids, Class 3 rapids, and even a Class 4 rapid on during the trip.
.
The first part of the trip was a nice relaxing journey through calm waters where the rafters could leave their boats and go for a quick swim. Soon we hit the real rapids of the river and it was all business!
.
We went with Tahoe Whitewater Tours: https://www.gowhitewater.com/ and they were great!

Insomnia is a common complaint during pregnancy. Up to 78 percent of pregnant women do complain of having insomnia at a point in their pregnancy. Certain contributors to insomnia include reflux. You know, when your uterus is full it’s pushing up against your esophageal sphincter causing contents from your stomach to push up.

Lower back pain can be causing insomnia, whereas sleep positions can also cause insomnia. There are certain sleep positions, especially if you’re sleeping on your back, that may be a little bit more uncomfortable for you. There are certain sleep disorders that are also found in pregnancy such as restless legs and that can also hamper sleep onset.

Certain ways to treat insomnia and pregnancy include exercise. Exercise will help with sleep onset and obtaining deeper levels of sleep at night. Relaxation techniques including meditation, passive stretching, yoga can help with sleep onset as well. And definitely keeping your room a cool environment will help with any body temperature disregulation. Keeping your room cooler will help lower your body temperature which will also help maintain better sleep at night.

Medications are generally contraindicated in pregnancies so you want to try to maximize good sleep hygiene and good sleep habits to help you sleep a little bit better at night.

There is not much worse than being stuck awake all night when all you are wanting is a good night’s sleep! Pregnancy insomnia is so real and something so many pregnant women deal with. Through personal trial and error, in this video I am going to share 10 tips that have helped me get a full night’s rest. I hope these are able to help you get some quality sleep as well!
